Inauguration of CSF student Luana Desconci’s mural painting at the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference headquarters
An inauguration ceremony was held on 9th April 2015 in the HRC secretariat office, celebrating the unique mural painting by Ms. Luana Desconci, designer and author from Universidade Tecnologica Federal do Paraná, and by fellow author Ms Tayana Passos Rosa from Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina, both studying Design at Óbuda University in the frameworks of the CSF program.
Apart from the authors and their friends, at the event dozens of guests participated including Ms. Éva Sándor Kriszt co- president of HRC and rector of Budapest Business School; Mr. László Vass, board member of HRC and rector of Budapest University of Applied Sciences; Mr. János Fodor, rector and Ms. Rita Ősz; vice- rector of the University of Óbuda; Ms. Judit Szántó, secretary general of the Hungarian European Business Council; Zoltán Dubéczi, secretary general of HRC together with the staff of the HRC Secretariat.
The special painting was realized as through working with Brazil and Latin-America with a particularly intense commitment during the last 2-3 years the secretariat has fallen in love with the cultural vibes of the area. Knowing that among the hundreds of excellent Brazilian students there are also very talented ones, Dr. Dubéczi has decided to open a call for the CSF students, inviting them to send plans and projects to react on some inspiration pictures and if they had the will to do so, paint a mural in the office’s wall.
The winner of the call was Ms. Desconci, who, with hard work and great motivation made her first pencil drawn plans into a whole wall sized mural.
On the ceremony, she and her friend and helping hand, Ms. Passos have been congratulated for their outstanding talent and for realizing the painting, which shall be the symbol for the successful CSF Hungary program, the Brazilian- Hungarian friendship and cooperation and shall bring the HRC staff members joy in the office, reminding about all the highly appreciated Brazilian students, our gratitude for them for sharing their culture and lives with us.
