MoU has been signed between the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities (CGBU) and the HRC

Based on the invitation of the HRC, Professor Rossana Valéria de Souza e Silva, Executive Director of the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities (CGBU) has visited Budapest between 3-8 december 2016.

 

During Professor Rossana’s visit, several bilateral meetings took place with some of the most prestigous universities’ representatives:

with Dr.  János Józsa Rector, Krisztina László Vice-Rector for International Affairs and László Dvorszki International and Scientific Director of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME);

with dr. Gábor Erdődy Vice Rector for International Affairs, Dr. Ferenc Pál Representative of the Rector on Brazilian Affairs, Dr. István Rákóczi, Head of the Faculty of Portuguese studies and Priscilla Lopes d’ El Rei Brazilian Lector Portuguese Language, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE);

with Dr. Ágoston Szél, Rector of the Semmelweis University;

with Dr. Tamás Novák, International Director of the Budapest Business School;

with Balázs Gerstl, Head of Department, Education Directorate – International Department for Education, Central Bank of Hungary;

with Maria Clara Rada, Counsellor, Head of Cultural Sector, Embassy of Brazil.

 

Also, Professor Rossana Valéria de Souza e Silva, Executive Director of the CGBU and Dr. Zoltán Dubéczi, Secretary General of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to create a formal framework for the future activities between the two nations.

 

Apart from fostering higher educational cooperation between Brazilian and Hungarian institutions and exploring the opportunities in Hungarian higher education, Professor Rossana’s visit also aimed to discuss the possibility of organizing the annual General Assembly and International Seminar of the Coimbra Group of Brazilian Universities in Budapest in 2018.
