UASiMAP project to be realized with the participation of HRC wins EU grant

UASiMAP project (Mapping Regional Engagement Activities of European Universities of Applied Sciences) – that is partly based on the outcomes of former PROCSEE project to handle challenges of professional higher education (PHE) in Central-Eastern Europe – aiming at mapping up regional commitment of European universities of applied sciences has won EU grant.  Complementing previous project results the new UASiMAP project, consortium of which consists of Irish, Belgian, Portuguese, Italian, Czech, Estonian and Hungarian institutions and other PHE organizations, will provide insight to the status of professional higher education and the activities of PHE institutions in Western and Central Europe.

The project will, among others, focus on the exciting question if universities of applied sciences can function as regional knowledge centers, and if yes, then how.  As knowledge centers how can UAS-s actively support the implementation of research results into developments in the industry?  What does university of applied sciences, as such, mean in Europe?

We are going to get closer to possible answers to these questions through policy recommendations elaborated in UASiMAP project, realized with the participation of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference by the end of 2022.
