Borhy László HRC President’s visit to Vatican
From July 17 to 21, the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano and the Holy See organized a special and unique study program at the Vatican Apostolic Library. The program, based on the study of the Library’s Hebrew manuscripts, was organized in collaboration with the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Israeli Embassy of the Holy See.
László Borhy, President of the HRC, and Gábor Balázs, Acting Rector of the National University for Rabbinical and Jewish Studies, participated in the celebration of the study of Hebrew manuscripts at the Bibliotheca Apostolica Vaticana, at the invitation of the Latin American Rabbinical Seminary (Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano).
The inauguration of the Hebrew Manuscripts Training Programme took place on 19 July, which also marked the 30th anniversary of the relationship between the State of Israel and the Holy See.
