Serbian-Hungarian Rectors’ Forum in Novi Sad
Apart from making efforts to maintain and develop Hungarian language courses across the border, it is important to develop these Hungarian language courses in line with, and acknowledged by the Serbian higher educational system – in order to ensure a high standard of the higher education for Hungarians across the border.
The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and the Conference of Universities of Serbia jointly organized the Serbian-Hungarian Rectors’ Forum in Novi Sad, 6 May 2016, to foster an intensive cooperation between the Serbian and the Hungarian higher educational systems (the latter including Hungarian language courses across the border). After the welcome speeches of Dr. Dušan Nikolić, president of the Association of State Universities in Serbia and rector of the University of Novi Sad, and Dr. József Bódis, president of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and rector of the University of Pécs presentations were hold by Dr. Ana Jakovljević, secretary general of the Conference of Universities of Serbia, Dr. Zoltán Dubéczi, secretary general of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Bumbaširević, president of the Conference of Universities of Serbia and rector of the University of Belgrade, and Dr. Gábor Szabó, vice-president for the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and rector of the University of Szeged.
