EURASHE 29. Annual Conference held in Budapest, 15-17 May 2019
EURASHE held its 29. Annual Conference with the co-organisation of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, 16-17 May 2019, at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, preceding with EURASHE Board meeting hosted by Andrássy University.
The conference was opened by Stéphane Lauwick, President of EURASHE, and besides József Bódis, Minister of State for Education and Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport also welcomed the approximately 150 participants. Besides EURASHE, the main organizer, UNESCO-UNEVOC, the global organization of Professional Higher Education was also represented at the event by Dr. Shyamal Majumdar, director, and Adam Gajek, earlier member of the Executive Committee of the European Students’ Union, quality assurance expert also contributed to the program – which reflects the complexity of the conference.
Higher educational institution leaders, employers, higher educational experts, teachers, researchers and students shared their views on labor market and social trends, students/teachers respective challenges, generation gaps regarding attitudes and the potential role of Professional Higher Education in handling these challenges.
