Hungarian Rectors’ Conference joined EUA call to urge the increase of the next EU budget for Education, Research & Innovation Programme to at least €120 billion, 2021-2027
Related to EU budget negotiations EUA encourages their members to make joint actions in order to achieve the increase of the budget for the next EU Programme for Education, Research and Innovation in 2021-2027. The EUA call, published in September 2019, call on the EU Institutions and Leaders to strengthen the R&I investment in the next multiannual financial framework at European level and urges them to raise the budget of the next EU Programme for R&I, Horizon Europe, to at least €120 billion. The increased budget would demonstrate EU’s commitment towards R&I developments, and – completed with private investments – would also enable Europe to tackle with significant challenges.
Considering the fact that the development of Research and Innovation fields is also getting more and more important goal of Hungarian higher educational institutions, the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference – among more than 200 signatories – has joined the EUA call to urge the increase of Education, Research and Innovation EU budget 2021 – 2027.
