HRC-EURASHE workshop at the Budapest Metropolitan University
EURASHE and the Serbian Rectors’ Conference attended the workshop organized by the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference on the 26th February, with a focus on professional higher education. There was an intensive discussion on current issues of the topic after the introduction of the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE). Many institutions desribed their views related to drop-outs in higher education, and the role of professional practice in reducing the number of higher educational drop-outs. Presentation of Budapest Business School on the Team Academy Program, and the presentations of the College of Kecskemét and the University of Miskolc on the experiences of the dual trainings brought up further interesting questions. The workshop clarified that there are many Hungarian initiatives to integrate professional experiences into the knowledge transfer realized in higher education, and that these initiatives can be valuable inputs of cooperations at European level.
