HRC30 Jubilee Symposium

The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference (HRC) celebrated the 30th anniversary of its foundation in the framework of the HRC 30 Jubilee Symposium. The event, hosted by the Corvinus University of Budapest, was attended by the representatives of universities and rectors’ conferences of Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia, – altogether nearly hundred university leaders represented the Central European higher education area.

 

The symposium was opened by Prof. József Bódis, President of HRC and Prof. András Lánczi, rector of the Corvinus University of Budapest. At the conference, participants held lectures on the challenges of the higher education systems in Central Europe and summarised the possible solutions to overcome them, afterwards, in the rectors’ roundtable discussion, participants discussed the future of the Central European higher education area. Finally, the participants of the Symposium accepted a joint position on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of HRC, upholding the fundamental principles of the higher educational sectors.  The event was closed with a networking session along with tasting wines of Hungarian universities.
